I’ve spent the last week, working harder then ever. Juggling two full time projects (HomeRoom and Pastelle) and doing a good job at it. I am thankful for my HomeRoom team and affiliates for coming through in the clutch. But, this post isn’t about my day to day nor to brag. More so to motivate, give praise to faith and most importantly our nation.  This post is about setting out to accomplish  beyond your means and how the soil that i stand on right now has helped me do so.

I am a immigrant without  a firm anchor in what the global opinion is of community.  It is the American idea: that we are not constrained by the accident of birth but, can make of our lives what we will. That has defined my life as it has defined the life of so  many other Americans. That’s why our independents day is so much more to me then celebrating a place on a map or a certain kind of people. Instead its about celebrating this countries ideals. Ideals that we all should fight for. I give my devotion to appreciating what many of us can take for granted in comfort. I have seen the alternative and it doesn’t shine bright. I believe its this shared loyalty that allows us to come together as one. The application of these ideals separates us from even other powerful nations such as China. There are those that attack Americas flaws, without acknowledging the greatness of our ideals and their proven capacity to inspire a better world. Those do not truly understand our soil, our societies.

If it wasn’t for these ideals. I wouldn’t have HomeRoom, my hard work wouldn’t equal success and i wouldn’t have the opportunities that have been bestowed upon me the last few weeks. I am truly blessed.
