Tonight i had the honor of dining with one of my heroes. What made it more special was the fact that we got to site at the chef’s bar. It was a good GREAT! time. What made it even greater, was seeing every ingredient being put together for our meal.
The chard Octopus in a peperoni, radicchio, rice beans, chorizo, chicory— was so good.



Casunzei Ravioli golden beets, poppy seed brown butter, dried orange, ricotta salata was just as good…

…and the Chicken “al diavolo” escarole, garlic, chilies —was way beyond what my guest expected… This is the best chicken that i have had. I’ve been talking about this chicken since the last time I was in NY.

The restaurant is called Dell’Anima (38 Eighth Ave., New York, NY 10014). Don’t forget to ask for the chef’s counter sitting.
