While on the topic of furniture. This bookshelf by Reinier de Jong is a must buy if you can afford it. As your book collection grows so can your REK.

Furniture is as much of a trend as shoes, and Ikea is like footlocker… with out the Lingonberry and 59 cent hot dogs.

A friend of mine is re doing his house and wanted to bring a modern element into his home. I was asked to help out on the project. For this project we will avoid Ikea and rather use one of my favorite furniture galleries Limn.

The hardest thing is to make every piece cohesive with the environment of the room and other objects within that space.

I’m starting with the living moss wall to build around.

I really like these shelves. The cross beams remind me of the first Donkey Kong Video game.

By far one of my favorite pieces in the showroom is this convertible couch. It can be converted to accommodate to any position you can think of. Want to read a book upside down? check. Want to sleep while doing a head stand? check.

Amazing.

At first i didn’t know what to think of this. It had remnants of a douche 70’s rock star crib and PETA beacon of war signal. Man…soon as i laid down on the mink fur mattress cover i was hooked. You would be too. Its gaudy, disgusting, yet it feels like a good nights rest and im in need of some rest.

Before even entering 340 Townsend street I already new what I was stepping into; a conglomerate of radio stations all under on roof. All of the popular radio stations from the Bay Area( i mean ALL of them) are in one building and are owned by Clear Channel. It amazes me how big Clear Channel is. When i think if succesfull stratgies and models i think; clear channel.

I stopped by our local hip-hop station 106KMEL the other day to hang with Big Von. If your not from around here, Big Von is the man to talk to, he runs things over at 106 and is a walking Hip-Hop encyclopedia. We were randomly taking about Wu-Tang and i had mentioned that the best rap album IMO of all time was Killah Priest- Heavy Mental (1997). You know what? For the first time someone that i didn’t grow up with actually heard and agreed with me about the KP-HM album being one of the best rap albums. Its so under-rated and over looked. Do yourself a favor and pick it up if your into late 90’s Hip-Hop.

Being in the music industry was my first love and still is, I can say in confidence that you will be seeing a lot of new music coming out of Niko Villamor/HomeRoom.

There’s this Track with Niko Villamor ft.Llyod that I am going to leak no point of keeping it under wraps.

Working from the beach is nice.
