Winter cut and sewn on the way

Wednesday, October 31st, 2007

I wanted to design a winter line that was very layer able. A line that can be worn during all seasons. The technique of using thin yet tightly woven materials was my theme for this collection. This engineering breaks the wind, repels water and keeps u warm during the winter, yet its thin enough to where in the spring you wont feel hot wearing it. Homeroom for all seasons!

Much props to My Mama, Gian, Ding, Ska, and Kris (in no particular order)…the homeroom team for making this winter season our best to date.

Here’s a sneak peek at the “geo-tastic sweater”. This just 1 of 7 cut and sewn pieces. Much, much more.

Sorry! But this is my Halloween costume

Days of glory, Nights of excess

Tuesday, October 23rd, 2007

On Saturday i had brunch with Maurice from Vapors mag. Always have the most interesting conversations with Maurice. We figured out that the homeless are single handily responsible for the reemergence of the vintage trends, and hipsters.

Homeless: drink cheap beer (Pabst)
Hipsters : drink cheap beer (Pabst)
Homeless: look like the haven’t washed their hair recently
Hipsters: look like they haven’t washed their hair recently
Homeless…. and it went on for an hour………

We had the bar make us red beer.

3/4’s corona, 1/4 bloody marry mix, salted rim and a lime.

Perfect with steak! But, only have one red beer per month. You might get kidney stones or some other ungodly health problem from too many of these. And, you know how to get rid of kidney stones right…yea…and u thought aliens probing you was your worst nightmare.

We go Bay to LA all year…Mike!

Diz…can’t say enough good things about you .

MONDAY

I am blessed to be surrounded by so many successful people on the daily. O look..someone is taking a box cutter to the Lambo…cool!

O!…its just Eric from Monarchy Jeans working on his Lamborghini Gallardo. It must be nice to just start cutting up your premium Italian sports car up like it was a civic at a “pick and pull”.

Eric had a twin turbo kit put on and a bunch of other mods that get him 700+ Horse Power to the wheels. Eric might be the only one in the world to have a Twin Turbo Gallardo.

This is Andreas…One of the guys behind FiveFour. I’m writing this blog from his apartment right now. Five Four has come a long way. Their entrance into the contemporary market is suiting for them and with talented designers like Emon and Davi, they are sure to be one of your favorite contemporary lines in the near future.

good night

..you too little one!

Poker break

Wednesday, October 17th, 2007

After working a long day. We at the work spot in LA decide to take a little poker and Jack in the box break.

Doing great game two, after losing quick in game one.

I used to be a horrible player. Now I’m steady winning.

Ryan Ding would have been proud. As Ryan can recall I’m now known for four of a kind hands. This proved to be true once again. Mike from Akomplice. Showing his poker face

LA road trip

Tuesday, October 16th, 2007

While driving along highway 5 you come into a tunnel vision like state of mind. Where anything under 80 mph feels like your crawling. Once in awhile you’ll find a pack cars that you can team up with, on your journey to LA at 100 mph +. Everyone knows the drill…we all go at 100 mph and they can only catch one of us.

An hour before the grapevine i saw it despit my tunnel vision…a brand new gas station…with a huge parking lot of paved tarmac…If this wasn’t a perfect chance to go drifting, then i wouldn’t know.

one square mile of pavement

+ rear wheel drive manual sc300

= drifting

I need new tires now =]

Soon as i got to LA in went to the Leroy Jenkins Shoe release party. Met up with the United trade show boys and the diamond fam!

As always Diz of Diamond shows me a good time. The waiter was a tweaker and brought us an 8 ft. tall menu

slip ‘n slide

Friday, October 12th, 2007

Look what i found on you tube! Someone recorder our 4th of July slip in slide..this slide went on for 6 hours.

Then it stopped…We had to shut it down, do to gashes in the tarp and using 10,000 gallons of city water.
Till next years summer!

Getting Inked

Wednesday, October 10th, 2007

Tattoo’s to me a year ago was something that i would never get. When Mike Giant told me last year that he was going to stop inking and gave me a window to get a tattoo done, i passed on it.

Now I’m kicking my self like chung-li; repeatedly and to the ribs.

For the last couple of weeks I’ve been thinking about getting an upper sleeve done. I know exactly what i want, and i want “Giant” to ink me. But, since he’s retired from tattoo’s, I might just get him to do a fill in on the side of the HomeRoom Bus.

For those that aren’t from SF… Mike Giant is to San Francisco, what Mr. Cartoon is to Los Angeles.

Speaking of Mr. Cartoon! Check this out!
