Today’s Lesson: Earplugs can cause headaches!!! Because I think too much and I could hear all my thoughts running around my head since the earplugs prevented anything from leaving my brain =)

San Jose Grand Prix! Exhilirating event providing:
fast cars
soap box race?!?!,
loud cars
,
fast women
,
and of course, loud men
.

Accessory of choice that day - cowboy hats!

Are YOU a fast kitty???

i think this guy is:

Speed limit check anyone? Does that say 30? or 80? Either way, he’s going way above it!

This is one of the bridge crossings, temporary of course:

and then you wonder, am I safe crossing this temporary bridge?!

Check out my girl DANA aka, my guinea pig - she sang the national anthem!!! DANA

The Grand Prix didn’t go cheap this year, we ended up getting some ear plugs (watch out ya’ll this shit is gon’ be a hit next season - think about it, customized ear plugs… yesssss…. hmmm…) and we also got a free water bottle - WITH NO WATER!!! EVEN BETTER!!!!

Toward the end of the day, got to hang out with some cool new friends - marlon brando striking a pose, his cousin andrew the snapshot, and jarett - um yea, can’t think of a nickname for him quite yet, but look out for him - awesome artist!

We tore up Johnny Rockets - chili fries, choc shakes, and the like:

Winded down at a bookstore for some inspirations =)
then I took a fatty ole’ nap!

Yoshi would like to conclude on these two notes: we are all fans of “Taylor Woods,” for providing awesome hand fans, and this is how San Jose ghostrides a wheelie:

and yes, I did indeed refer to myself in the third person narrative =) just for shits and giggles…

Meet Yoshi our women’s line director. She punches me, tries to get me fat, wears my shoes, leaves her Cd’s all over my living room, did i mention gut checks and the occasional karate chop, but we keep her around cause she pays for parking garages, and has ideas that will have Christian Dior wanting to hire her…to bad for you Christian…she already signed a 40 year contract.

Today’s Lesson: The fashion show went great, there was a little mis-communication at the end during designer roll call and i wound up being on stage by myself waiting for the other designers to come up, but they never did, so i wound up looking like i put together the entire show. LMAO!

Another satisfied customer. Grill not shown

Just in time for The Wolf Pack’s Tour.

We hung at the studio with Jeff Sledge the director of Jive/Zomba, and mixed down the upcoming album. Pharrell is going to be calling Young L 2 months after the album drops for a Callabo! …the production is something really different. Reminds me of the feeling that i got when i heard pharrel’s first hit.

Met up my good friend “Super Kathy” for late night eats in East Oakland with our son diddy. She likes licking our dog because she puts carmax on his lips.

Meet Diddy! he smells like Coco Chanel… WHAT HAVE U DONE 2 OUR SON!?

Today’s Lesson: IT’S HOT!!!!!
The new, new watches! HMMmmmmm. Mine’s on the left, Villa’s is on the right

Its been almost 100* for the last couple of days, that’s unheard of in San Franchise… people are passing out everywhere do to the heat.

I wanted to make sure he was alive, so did Dean Villa…

THE HEAT MAKES PEOPLE GO CRAZY!!!!! wearing a leather coat on a hundred degree day…”crazy like Patrick Swayze ghost riding a whip!” any one hear that new song? haha.
No stores in San Francisco have AC except supermarkets, because its never hot here. People were dying inside of stores…for example!

Ran into the homie Devin, who’s modeling a hoodie at the HOMEROOM debut fashion show this Saturday.

Later that night we went to a party. The irony that this was the center piece at the party. What a fest!

When Ghost riding goes bad! They hit their own boys car and speed off. HA!

Meet Eugene from HUF. You can catch him in the Track Bike video SF MASH.

I wonder if people all over US used 986312 60035, or was it only Cali? Regardless, i think it’s time to get a pager again, so i can waste time deciphering messages.

STUSSY’s mid 90’s S-tee’s,

It’s late, but i just finished talking with a friend about how young the scene is out here in San Francisco. Even though we might be fashion forward in some aspects, we are definitely really young in comparison with New York or LA. Los Angles is eclectic, the culture is so different and suburban. The reason i say Suburban is because LA is a county comprised of a vast amount of suburbs. It’s roots area a culmination of different style: skate, surf, street, and high lifestyle. I give much props to LA and there interpretation of the culture.

I’m not even going to write or talk about NY because it will take 3 hours to explore the depth of NY, basically every borough and group of people in NY has there own style going for them.

In San Francisco we grew up listening to Andrea Nickatina, pushing a skate board, watching New York based movies like “KIDS” and “Wild-style”, rocking North Face jackets with Nike cross trainers and a giants hat, our style was real basic, but up to date; we maintained our roots in the culture.

My first dose of America was in Harlem, than Brooklyn, so therefore i always had a different perspective on style than my San Francisco friends.
I got my first impression of style from traveling Europe at an early age. My second impression was NY style in the 89-91 era of course. Thinking back i was quite mindful of style since i was 5, thanks to my mama, who always had me in the freshest colors… I Went off topic, so back to the point.

The reason our style in San Francisco started coming to par was because of Micheal Brown who opened TRUE in 96. It was the first time that i could buy stuff that i saw being sold in NY, ( summers were spent in NY some years) in San Francisco. I could cop PNB and many other brands that i was excited about, without getting it shipped by family from NY. TRUE brought the flavor to SF and mixed it with our local scene. I could almost get anything that they had in NY from TRUE except a pair of Dolomite’s.

To TRUE i say HAPPY!!!! 10th Anniversary, 10 years of being a staple store in SF. I wouldn’t be at this point if it wasn’t for TRUE or the people that worked there with me: Mike, Dean, Josh from 10deep, Spanks, and Eric. You guys laid the foundation of fashion down for me in concrete, i was young all i did was absorb and learn.

Today’s Lesson: All the planets are aligned right now.

Bumping: Sun Glasses At Night - Cory Hart

The day started really early for me. Someone woke me up and demanded that i teach them photo-shop. I demanded breakfast first, so we got some Swedish pancakes from the Mill brae pancake house…well worth the drive.

Half way through the day i took a time out for seafood. Look how fat the shrimps are! and the crab legs, we eat like champs!

At midnight me a Gian were scanning in some drawings, when the aroma of baked goods hit me. We looked at each other…O shit!!! the corn bread. We had forgotten there was corn bread baking in the oven. haha

After burning the corn bread, we sought other purposes that it could be used for…

It was a straight Marathon of designing today, nonstop for 12 hours, by the final hour i had taken a break and made a squadron of paper airplanes. Fly for ever, ever!

Meet Gian’s dog Tink. She has one tooth. She also likes to lick her ass, and than tries to lick me.
